Southern Illinois lost to Indiana State 66-51 in the first game of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Thursday, March 1 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

I had a great opportunity to photograph my cousin Jeff and his wife Kristy who is pregnant with their first child. Congrats you two, I can’t wait to meet the newest member of the family!

Some of my images were selected for the 2011 Hearst Competition. Only two entries from each university or publication accepted, and mine was one of them. Images must have been shot within the past year. Three of them are from my current single image portfolio.

I was in Chicago for business and I happened to have an assistant gig thrown into my lap. I ended up shooting around 400 images as the second shooter/lighting assistant on a beautiful Sunday in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Good practice for an upcoming wedding I have. Here’s a couple images.
In other news, I will be revamping this website soon in preparation for a resume and job search blitz that I will be undertaking in the next few weeks.

SIU had a pretty awesome home opener against MSU. It felt good to be back in the saddle shooting college ball. A field goal in the last few minutes of play won the game. I had a blast shooting it, here’s a couple of my favorite images from the game, including the game winning field goal.

I had a great time photographing my friend and his fiancé in Forest Park a week ago. The two of them laughed, joked and opened up to me, making it very easy to make some gorgeous pictures of them. Thanks for the opportunity! I wish you both the best!
